Thinner than the hair on a frog



Yes, that's two ply.

I've finished the two-ply of the English Rose merino, and shall now commence working on the cable ply. I may even have to fold it over another time, considering just how thin this stuff is... I really worked this one!

My brother will never appreciate it. ;)

Yeah, took me longer than normal to spin this one, yes...

Funny thing is, I've now decided the latest one isn't thick enough either, so I'll be plying it yet again...

I'm going to be really amused to wind up with 8 ply laceweight... But since it isn't superwash, at that level of plying, it still won't shrink and it'll put up with whatever a baby has to offer! :)

Bitsyknits told me when I was spinning it last week that nobody would ever appreciate the work that went into that... :)
